There will be a new Space Marines model called the "Assault Intercessor," which will hopefully be able to stand against these new mechanical behemoths. Speaking of Necrons, the ancient mechanical evils that threaten humanity's survival also get new designs in the ninth edition, with three pointed metal legs and a massive glowing sword. The fan-favorite chainsword is also seemingly making a comeback in the ninth edition - with an upgrade that makes combat even more epic, as the blade's serrated edge makes scrap metal out of some Necrons. Big units have been fixed to reach higher advantage points easier, such as the higher levels of buildings. Changes have been made to tanks in the ninth edition so overcoming them is harder they can also shoot in combat and blast away enemy troops at point-blank range to better protect themselves and fellow units. It's hard to imagine the futuristic war simulation Warhammer 40000 attempts to create without weaponry.
